General Committee

The General Committee (GC) of GUK is composed of 21 members representing diverse occupations across the country. As the organization’s highest governing body, the GC holds supreme authority over key organizational functions. This includes approving annual budgets and financial reports, reviewing and endorsing policy documents, amending the constitution, and establishing the Executive Committee (EC) for a term of three years. Additionally, the GC manages member admissions and cancellations, makes important organizational decisions, and formulates rules and regulations to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The GC convenes annually but may meet more frequently if required to address pressing matters. The GC’s role is fundamental to maintaining the organization’s integrity, guiding its strategic direction, and supporting its mission through comprehensive oversight and decision-making.
